TOUCHSTONE OPENING UP PROG PROCEEDINGS IN HIGH VOLTAGE FESTIVAL, LONDON - JULY 2010

After a highly successful 2009, which saw the band tour the UK and play both the East and West coasts of America - TOUCHSTONE are proud to make an announcement which kicks off 2010 in super-charged style!

TOUCHSTONE have been asked to kick off the Progressive Rock part of the much-anticipated new High Voltage Festival in Victoria Park, London on the Saturday 24th July at 1.30pm.

The festival is a two day event spanning the weekend and revolves around three stages - Classic Rock; Progressive Rock and Metal Hammer - only one band plays at any one time. The first act will be on at 12.30pm on the Classic Rock Stage.

The organisers are expecting some 35000 festival-goers for what will be an awesome experience rounded off by the mighty ELP on Sunday night, who have specially reformed for what we are sure will be a historic event.

Rob, Adam, Moo, Al and Elkie are highly honoured to have been asked to play and wish to thank the organisers for their invitation, as well as their good friends at Classic Rock magazine for their wonderful support.

Rob Cottingham, vocalist and keys man, commented: "This is the kind of event Adam and I have been dreaming of since we met up over six years ago. We love large outdoor festivals, and the whole band are very excited indeed. We really can't wait! I also grew up as an ELP fan, so to be able to see the guys rounding off the festival will be 'dream come true' stuff!"

Adam Hodgson, guitarist, commented: "This is a fantastic opportunity to at last play our music to a wider audience within the UK rock world. This feels like a natural 'next step' for the band and fits in superbly with our strategy for 2010.
